Monthly Dinner Meetings

Third Tuesday* of Every Month (except Dec. and Feb.) 6:00-8:30 PM

These dinner meetings are signature events at SYC. They are entirely planned, hosted, served, and often prepared by our member volunteers. A Host Team organizes the meal and enlists a volunteer “kitchen crew” to help. The SYC store is “open” at several dinners for buying SYC apparel and gifts. A raffle tops off each evening. Contact the Monthly Dinner Committee Chairperson to volunteer to host or crew!

*The November Monthly Dinner Meeting is moved if Thanksgiving falls within the week of the third Tuesday of the month.

Happy Hours

Friday Evenings 6:00 til ? (As often as we have volunteer hosts)

These informal get-togethers are a great way to get to know your fellow SYC members. Depending on weather, Happy Hours are held either in the Barnacle (our Club Pub) or outside on the deck or dock). Come as you are with a snack to share and BYOB. Hosting one is easy – contact the Happy Hour Committee Chairperson to volunteer!

Potluck Party Events

These events are when Club members get together and bring a dish to share/BYOB and enjoy the camaraderie and friendships that come with being a part of the friendliest people on the Chesapeake Bay. Annual potluck events include our New Year’s Day Potluck, Welcome Aboard Party, Kentucky Derby Party, and a Halloween celebration. Have a fun potluck party idea? Hosting one is easy – contact the Entertainment Committee Chairperson to volunteer!

This is the most formal event at SYC.

Our last party of the year and a great time to get in the Christmas Spirit.
