The Seaford Yacht Club Keel Club is an honorary society of SYC.
The purpose is to honor Seaford Yacht Club members
who have given extraordinary service to the Club over several years.
Seaford Yacht Club is proud to celebrate our members and their generous contributions. Within our clubhouse entryway, you can find a plaque with each recipients’ name inscribed. In addition, each member also receives an individual plaque to recognize their contributions. This award is presented annually but does not need to be issued every year.
Nomination Criteria
- To be nominated, a member must have belonged to SYC for a period of at least 10 years and be a member in good standing.
- Service should have been given to the Club in several areas, i.e., over and above requirements of positions held in the Club and over several years.
- A nomination letter should be sent to the Board of Trustees stating why this person should be recognized as a Keel Club member. Nominations will not be solicited or made by the Board of Trustees and need not be made on an annual basis.
